We encourage you to submit an abstract to session <span class="" style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">GC043</span> of the 2019 AGU Fall Meeting, entitled "Improving the Simulation of Climate Impacts on Agriculture: AgMIP and Related Research".</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
<div class="">Session Description: Agricultural models simulate the effects of climate on crop yields, farm income, and trade, making them important tools for examining food security. This session will focus on research at the interface of climate, agriculture,
and economics, including results from the Agricultural Model Intercomparison and Improvement Project (AgMIP). Topics of particular interest are agricultural projections at local to global scales; interactions between climate and croplands; tradeoffs between
food security, environment, and society; remote sensing of agricultural lands and data assimilation; seasonal crop monitoring and forecasting; the food-energy-water nexus; and strategies and innovations for agricultural sector adaptation and mitigation.</div>
