[AgMIP] Position Agronomy Specialist

We are actively searching for an Agronomy Specialist in crop models for a p=
roject in Bhutan : "Hydromet Services and disaster resilience regional proj=
ect - Developing an Agro-Met Decision Support System for Farm Advisory" (at=
 the latest : 27th of January 2018)

BRL Ing=E9nierie (BRLi) is a consultancy agency specialized in water manage=
ment, environment, food security and land use planning. Through its 200 col=
laborators, BRLi have taken action since 60 years in more than 80 countries=
 worldwide according to local authorities' and world's funders ' demand.

The Bhutanese Ministry of Agriculture and Forests wants to implement a sust=
ainable Agro-Met Decision Support System at a farm scale to face major clim=
ate risks coming from climate variability and climate change. This ministry=
 offers us to manage the project but we are looking for expert skills in ag=
riculture. More specifically, the following skills are requested :

-          A degree in agricultural science or related discipline with exte=
nsive experience in crop agronomy and farming systems preferably in develop=
ing countries and mountain farming ecosystems ;

-          Extensive experience in the development of agricultural systems =
models including :

o   Analyzing and modelling weather data for crop production and research ;

o   Developing and instituting farm advisory services based on weather and =
climate forecasts ;

o   Training expertise in basic crop modelling techniques.
