[AgMIP] AgMIP-Bioenergy

Dear AgMIP members,

I would like to bring to your attention the launch of the AgMIP-Bioenergy activity as part of AgMIP (Agricultural Model Improvement and Intercomparison Project; http://www.agmip.org/).

The objective of the initiative, co-led by Gopal Kakani<mailto:v.g.kakani at okstate.edu> and David LeBauer<mailto:dlebauer at illinois.edu>, is to develop protocols for intercomparison and improvement of crop models for existing and emerging biomass and bioenergy crops. We are planning a startup meeting of the AgMIP-Bioenergy activity on Nov 2, 2014, to coincide with ASA-CSSA-SSSA meetings at Long Beach, CA. Let us know if you can participate in the meeting. A more definite time for the meeting will be circulated.
